The wife is coming back from Cheyenne and they just shutdown the highway. High winds.

Well the pics she sent me are much lower MB's than the pics from my phone.
Gonna have to figure out how to change that.
On her update;;; they decided to get a room in Laramie. Road opened at 5 but didn't want to travel at night throughout the canyons.
Hope they get out before it gets shutdown again.
Windy till Tuesday.

As long as she is safe a day or two doesn't matter. A lot of truckers are under smooch pressure that they are out there when they should not be. The wind is not their friend. :o

The weather has been crazy this winter. We're not experiencing quite what you guys are out west, but it has been non stop making it tough to get around. Rattiac, I hope your wife gets home safely.

The highway never opened. Another 8hr shutdown.
So, she's heading down through Colorado, which turns this into a 8+hr drive.
Hopefully she's home when I get off work.

Our weather has been strange here, We got 1/2 to 1" of ice then 2-3" of snow then another layer of ice then 5-6" of snow on top of that and today 48 degrees

Rattiac sure hope she makes it home safe. You either take the chance and shoot for home trying to out run the storm, or honker down and wait it out.
I've been fortunate with the first, just scared of the idiot drivers on the road.

She made it home safely from her lil scenic drive as she calls it. 8)
Amazing how some of these mountain passes are still open but a flat stretch of road can close down .

Glad she made it and is safe. Some of the most interesting trip are the ones we don't plan. I hope she got something fun out of it. A good meal in a new place can make my day. :)
