Title: Dot 5
Post by: munch on January 18, 2021, 12:31:51 PM
Guys, I used dot 5 in the new brake system on the 53 3100 build and I am having a hard time chasing small leaks. After checking all connections for tightness, I'm thinking of flushing and going with 3 or 4.  Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks Ed, I'm going to try and flush my system and go back with something I know.

I've been using DOT5 in my '32 since I built it, about the last 5 years. I had no problems except for the slightest seepage at the brake switch, which I attributed to my bad flaring.
