Post by: RoarsRods on October 15, 2020, 08:06:06 PM
Also today with over 100 miles on my Roadster had stopped by my friends Excavating Shop/ Pin Striper Shop! Plus my friend Richie had some old hot rods and now his new toy 1947 Chris Craft inboard motor! He also lives on a local lake!

We do see them up here on Lake Champlain...beautiful works of art...but most are in dry storage and polished regularly.

classic boats are like true classic cars, buy them completely done and perfect.  Otherwise welcome to MONEY PIT.   They will eat you alive in upkeep costs, especially when it comes to Varnish and these use a varnish like EPIFANES from Holland , quart is $50 here , as thats what i used on the wood parts for 35 roadster build SHAZZBOTT.

I would think the boats value would be  if it has original engine and they used a variety of engines besides their own V8.

They have events at Lake Tahoe where lots of old wooden boats of all sizes are on display and cruising around. It is really something to see.
