Post by: madmike3435 on March 15, 2020, 07:22:30 PM
I am trying to find the name of a special screw.........its wood threads on the first half, the second half of it is threaded to take a nut.  May have slot or allen end to tighten

Anybody have any idea what this could be called as I am trying to find some.

Probably wrong, but here are a couple types???

turns out they are called HANGER BOLTS, like the lower picture you posted..
come from 8/32 too 5/16 mostly used in furniture.  thank you !!!

The redo of my 35 chev touring.....new SP 383 with 700R4, side motor mounts, new headers + all new stainless exhaust right to back bumper. All new 4 piston Wilwood calipers and spot emg brake.  4 new coil over shocks xke type 1962--65 much lighter in coils so it rides much softer than the bang thump bang of the heavy coils.  New dual master cyl and dual diaphragm booster.  All brand new wiring.

Is coming to a close.  Next is the tackling of the B = C pillar and moving the seat back 6--9".

Couple more months and get it back on the road.
