Title: Ready to move to a private community? You may like this one!
Post by: EDNY on September 04, 2019, 12:15:42 PM
Welcome home to America's first private community designed for car collectors and/or individuals interested in formal forest living

Hawk's Hill is a 100 acre private development with a wilderness feeling, close to Lenoir, NC with underground power, water and telephone, with restrictions to protect the environment and our neighbors.

Hawk's Hill began as just a beautiful, environmentally aware development in a great area of the country with mild four-season weather and great roads. But, because the developer’s loved cars, the community was designed around their hobby.

The goal at Hawk's Hill is to provide a first-rate car community with its own garage, car lift, pit, welding tools, etc. With a hiking trail, tennis court and picnic areas... all just a stone's throw from the Blue Ridge Parkway for auto touring fun! Today there are 21 homes located within the development and our group includes both working and retired folks. Many collect and own a wide variety of vehicles; however, car collecting is not a requirement for building and living at Hawk's Hill. All one needs is a love of pine trees, wildlife, low taxes, mild climate and friendly neighbors! Additional information, contact numbers, photos of our community and information about the area, may be found at

Lol, no thanks! Appears to be a "Well to do" check writers heavily restricted H.O.A. Concours Classics type community. "Peacefull woods living". Maintanence/repair only in community garage. I can't imagine having to make an oppointment/reservation to use the welder or lift etc.

When we lived in Dodge in the mid 60s, i'll bet there were at least 5/6 hot rod/ circle track builders in a one block area, (all in their garages)
The blue arc flashing in the trees in the evening, someone always breaking in a cam in the driveway, driving their modified down the street and around the corner for high test gas at the Standard station on saturday morning ;D  Pretty much everyone quit making noise by 9pm on weeknights, midnight on weekends. If you needed the yoke on your Schwin StingRay welded back up...some one was always welding in the neighbrhood during the day.

I would need a Hotrod neighborhood like that!  ;D  Nahh, I'll never grow up! :)

I'm with Sammons. My son once described Wellington,Texas as Mayberry with hot rods because of his friends there.
