Nope, The Ford Ranger Raptor Isn't Coming to the US

FYI The (old) Ford Rangers are in high demand up here in NY..they are getting crazy prices at the auctions.

On another note wish the Colorado prices would drop....they are on par with a full size trucks so why buy the smaller Colorado/Canyon.

I too had heard ford was bringing back the Ranger 4 or v6 ?

The Colorado and the Canyon 2004 and up were F-UGLY and still are.

Better looking truck is the 1998--2003 4.3 V6 S10 EXTREME extended cab 120" wheelbase.
Add leather power seats and a LS series motor , now you have something > !

With the special F85 suspension that thing corners like a vette.  But if you want to drive it in snow, get snow tires and 300 pounds of sand over the rear end.  It does not like snow with stock tires, oh and those 235--55--16 look ridiculous on there, like a deflated donut.  Run 65 series for height and visually fills the wheel wells, taking the stock w-t ugly away

Ya I own one, black with gold strip package.

I feel the 2WD Colorado frames will become a donor for body swaps because of their WB and wider tracking widths which are more compatible with the late 30's/early 40's big cars.

BTW: My daily driver is a 1995 S10 XTREME as in extremely rusty ;D

I thought the S10 EXTREME started in 1998 and ended in 2005 with the Colorado extreme package.  The 1998--2003 is the preferred choice with short 107 WB or long 120 WB extended cab.

Before 1998 they had the SS version, which really did not carry much visual appeal as a 98--03 step side.

The hot unit to have was the s10 GMC pontiac TYPHOON around 1990 ???  I have never seen one in person.

Our local salvage yard guy closed up had an auction due to health 2 months ago. I went out to get pics of a pretty nice '98 S10 ext cab for my uncle. V6, engine had a bad head gasket, pretty darn clean inside and out. Salvage yard guy estimated sale at $1,500 to $2,500. Uncle passed on going to the sale, I forgot about it. The S10 sold for $100 :o

I have (3) of the S10 Xtreme 54.5"  8.5" rear axles...one in my 33 and two on the rack.

Mike; the only Xtreme thing about my 95 S10 is the XTREME rust.

Ed NY, since I purchased the 2003 S10 Xtreme in 2005 I have it treated for rust protection from KROWN RUST CONTROL  2 times a year.  About November for first time and last spring for the other. Costs $125 a treatment.  The material was discovered by dow chemical engineer, derived from fish oil.  Coats nicely, flows into all crevices and attaches itself.  It forces out the water collecting in bottom of doors..

The Ziebart type coating is not as good in creeping into joints and coating due to its thickness.

Its 15 years old now and still looks great.
