Title: Death Wheels
Post by: sixball on May 06, 2018, 12:23:22 PM
Here is a link to a thread I started on the HAMB about the wheel that came off of my '53 pickup and why it happened. I put it there because I can post pictures there from my desktop with no online host. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/death-wheels.1106666/ (https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/death-wheels.1106666/)

That can be some scary s**t!  I've lost several thru my early years, usually aluminum slots and fat tires. Funny, I had aluminum slots on my '50 Chevy pick up and never lost any of them. They had a webing on the back side mounting surface so maybe it matched up with the rivets?

They looked like these but 6 lug.
