Title: 1930 Chev Update

Finally a update on the project.I have the driveshaft installed,autowire kit and gauges installed and working,doors hung (what a job XXX hours),steering connected,floor installed,some glass installed,seats in,brakes completed,got engine running decent,GM column connections worked well with American Auto Wire Kit,just have to finish battery install and connection,top up fluids and oils,then off for a exhaust system.Here are a few pictures I took last night.

Look'n good.   I showed my buddy your electric fan/shroud mount for the propper way, he's a newby to builds.  Last week I was telling him not to use the nylon post/buttons to mount to the radiator and why, but couldn't find a pic of the right way. Keep at it!

Another Update.Started with beat up fenders and tank cover progressed or regressed to warped and stretched metal and ended up with close to a acceptable result.Anybody use shrinking discs and did they work,looking for alternate method than torch and peening.Thanks.Mounted the 33-34 Taillight and stands yesterday.

I would like to know how well those shrinking disks work as well. The alternates that come to mind, (other than what you have mentioned)  is a serated shrinking dolly, and/or hammer, slapping file, or heat up a several inch square area with a dull body grinder fiber disc and quench with a wet rag.

 Looks like you got nice shape back, good work.

the 33--35 Chevrolet tail lights and stands look like they were factory on the 30 .

Chemong 55 and sammons...Shrinking discs work very well. I use a Sun Chaser disc which has a rippled edge.. Helps push down high spots. Some guys use a flat disc. A little practice and you'll get the feel of them. I've found just getting the area hot, not super hot works the best.  You can use water or air to cool the area.  Ron
