Does any one have the Lokar transmission mounted emergency brake handle set up in use...thinking of using this set up...wanted to use the floor mounted set but limited to space between the seats..any comments or suggestions .....

I used the floor mounted one between the seats. Very tight but I can get at it. Probably should have tried the transmount one but thought it would get in the way of the wife's leg room. This is the only pic I could find. It does sit low.

Looks good....I read some where that you could mount that in front of your seat...can't imagine how that would work..couldn't find any photos of how to set it up I looked at Lokar site and didn't see any info on it

I've seen it mounted to the left side of the drivers seat.

I have the LOKAR trans mount shifter and emergency brake in my 35 chev coupe, its modified to sit straight up and works fine. Little difficult to get to because of the X member underneath in a 35 frame.
The previously pictured lokar floor mount , I have that one for the roadster and its a great design to sit anywhere on the floor. I bought it because of the way it attached to the top of the floor. The cable system underneath would have lots of clearance.

I used the trans mounted shifter and emergency brake on my 32 as well. Works great for me.

Moose..does that brake handle have the adjustments to where it would be able to be more vertical (90 degrees ) in the released position... Or is there one position that it releases to when brake is not applied?

Not sure what I did to make my lokar emergency brake sit straight up. I just remember having a problem getting to something and it made more sense to rotate it to 90 degrees. I had it in normal 45 position for a few years. It , the handle does not move very much, 4-6" depending on setup adjustment.
Cannot be very complicated , as I came up with a simple solution.
found a picture of a stock 35 std frame and the emergency brake still installed.

Some have mounted the e-brake lever sideways in front of the driver seat to free up room between the seat. Cables would make a loop back to the rear somewhere before splitting. I elected to use the foot operated unit offered by Control Cables. It's a very compact unit and works well.

I would guess that you could modify the transmission bracket or ratchet assembly to allow the handle to be mounted in a more vertical position. I really didn't need to modify mine because the bench seat dictated that the handle be mounted in a somewhat factory stock forward leaning position .

I would post a picture of my 35 coupe with long handle LOKAR emergency brake , mounted using the LOKAR bracket. Unfortunately its 1/2 BELOW the floor boards and 1/2 ABOVE and no way to take a picture underneath.
Whatever I did to get it 90 degrees, was fairly simple and I remember making an aluminum piece for it.

FATnLOW, I used the LOKAR trans mounted e-brake on my TH-400. It works great and was relatively easy to install. I don't recall how adjustable the mounting was, but if you want, I can try and squeeze under there and snap a few pictures. Anyway, I recommend it.

FYI only and to prove that I'm a cheapskate I used a military truck adjustable parking brake lever, still need to attach the cables.
Since the car has a 700R4/TPI I used a Camaro cable shifter, had to make an enclosure that mounted the shifter at a cable friendly angle. That shifter box fits perfectly inside the S10 seat cup holder area that I removed.
The LOKAR is a nice looking unit for sure.
