Title: Hydrograpics
Post by: FATnLOW on January 17, 2018, 10:59:52 PM: Went with a friend to a hydrographic shop...he's getting a part done..been thinking of getting my dash done in Wood grain pattern.... Now got to decide on what to get
the oak one which is dark or a lighter one guess I'll see what the wife likes....she's more artistic than me.... and see how my friends part turns out....

Post by: sixball on January 18, 2018, 11:58:39 AM: I didn't care much for wood dashes until my uncle brought home an old Hudson when I was in high school. Some kind of heavy grained burl. What a classy car. I never found out how fast it would go. Give us pictures of what you decide on.

Post by: 39delux on August 07, 2019, 06:34:48 PM: Researched how to do burl, practiced for a month and gave it a try on my dash and garnish molding. Think it came out OK. The process takes a full week to do including the clear coats.
