Title: What's this??
Post by: chopper526 on January 05, 2018, 06:29:19 PM: A friend of mine gave this to me. I never saw one before. Who knows what it is? Obviously it is a flag holder, but where does it go? It looks quite old and the front of the shield shows the faint remnants of the stars and stripes. I think it fits into an exhaust pipe, and during parades the exhaust gas would blow the flags out. The white crinkled ends look like dried out or melted rubber.

Good point Ghost. OK, crank hole or hitch ball.......maybe light bulb.

You know you might be right, grips around the neck of the radiator underneath the cap.
