Title: Snow Geese
Post by: EDNY on December 09, 2017, 07:29:04 PM
Each fall we have thousands of Snow Geese fly south along Lake Champlain from Canada. On some occasions the fields are completely covered with geese and the fields look snow covered.  Attached a picture from my road...every white spec in the picture is a goose (no snow yet).

The Canadian Geese blend in with the field and are hard to spot.

Cool. Nevada has some geese. I remember the huge flocks of Canada geese we saw when we lived in Texas. Setting in wheat stubble that stretched from horizon to horizon and blocked the sun when they took off. By the time they got that far south they were so spooky from being hunted we could not sneak within rifle range. Forget a shotgun. Now I just hear a few fly over sometimes. Love 'em!
