I was over at Shane's the other day helping him verifi the "Canopy Express" part. It is a real one. I believe it has a 235 in it, but i'm no expert on old inline 6s. He was going to put fresh oil in and try to start it, points are rusty and cap looks cruddy. Was going to pick up parts if he had time.

Ed, he is constantly turning over his inventory. With the dropping price in iron, that has him searching more vehicles out. He thought he was going to have to sell the chop top 48 coupe but had a sale and still has it. He has a few that he has had since high school so not everything is forsale ;)

The engine is a 235 evident by the 4 screw rocker cover and the short side cover '54-'63. Cool old truck. I had a 1 Ton '48 Pannel when I was a young surfer back in the early '60s. Great camper with 4 fold down bunks. room for boards. It had a little "caboose" wood stove and a roll out awning. Too bad is was so slow we could not make it to the beach in time to make the tides. ::)

Thanks Sixball. I passed the engine info on to him.

My brother and I had a 50(?) 1/2 ton panel when we were young kids (1970)  Bought it for a $1, had a broken tierod end. Grandpa fixed it for us, had a blast driving it in the pasture and it ran great.  Camped out alot in it.  :)

This one would make a great camper with canvas sides and some fold-out fold-down features. Beds, a "chuck wagon" kitchen and a top rack with a ladder for a Bonneville observation deck.
