I was looking at my front fenders and trying to visualized turn signals on / in the fenders or where ever they would look and work good...........can I get some photos of your turn signals....thanks

Ed I haven't got that far yet, but I'm looking for a set of these(pic 1), they sell them in chrome and unpainted. I will be mounting them on the bottom side of the headlamp bucket (instead of the normal top mount).
Did you bring in your Brass Monkey? It's suppose to get damn cold this weekend. They are talking high tomorrow 8-10° and a low sat night of -7° air temp, wind chill will be really low :o

I remember those lights ..like on top of the old truck cabs and on fenders..yeah buddy 60's today and -7 to -15 up coming this weekend went out and split some wood in case we lose power..got the wood burning stove ready if needed....Stay warm and keep out of the cold

You can get aacturate representation of those lights complete from the OTB company, or a little different design from speedway. I usually use these styles. I dont like the idea of cold weather.

I know this probably isn't what you're looking for but mine are in the headlights. Just another option if someone else is looking. Here's some pics.

Tom that is a very clean solution. I'd try to stay away from fender mounting, just me. There might be a place near the grill that would be OK. Behind the grill insert would mostly hide them. The head lights I'm using for my roadster had the kind that Sammons showed but someone removed them. My lights must have been radiator shell mounted to put the lights on top or bottom. The way I'll mount them will either put them to the inside or outside to be decided later. I'll have to order a repo set of the painted ones. These are the kinds of details that must be carefully worked out. We've all seen examples of poor choices that ruin the looks of an otherwise nice build.

That's what I used, except I mounted mine on the frame rails under the fenders close to the bumper mounting holes

THESE HEADLIGHTS ARE MADE BY "GUIDE" AND WERE USED ON A LOT OF TRUCKS AFTER 1937. DIAMOND RIO
ECT ECT. YOU CAN STILL FIND THEM IN WRECKING YARDS THAT HAVE A LOT OF 30'S--40'S TRUCKS.
I HAVE A PAIR ON MY 35 COUPE THAT I PUT ON THERE IN 1970 AND LATER CHANGED THE SEALED BEAMS TO BOSCH H4 HALOGENS. A FEW YEARS AGO THEY STARTED APPEARING ON EBAY AND WERE GETTING UPWARDS OF $600 FOR A PAIR. NOW SOMEBODY REPODUCES THEM FOR A LOT LESS.
YOU CAN SOMETIMES FIND THESE NOS FROM PEOPLE DEALING IN MILITARY VEHICLE PARTS IN THAT DULL OLIVE DRAB COLOUR.

Re signal lights............if you look at the old Harley dresser type bikes loaded with bags and lights. They used a very small almost headlight style looking running light. These came with clear lenses and also red lenses for tail lights.
I use the red lenses style mounted to the sides of my luggage rack and painted black as 3rd tail lights, brake only.

You can always mount them on your cowl ( i.e. 32) and make them a dual purpose light driving/parking and turn signal and you can do it with a single element bulb. Somebody posted that circuit on here a few months back.

Tom, can you see your turn signals when your headlamps are on? The reason I am asking is I bought that style lamp for my buddy Lonnies '32 Ford p.u. from Speedway I think. If the headlamps were not on you could see them flash, but with the headlamps on from across the street(day or night) you couldn't see the amber(LED) flashing. Just curious what brand you used.

I TYPED IN HARLEY LIGHTS OR LITES INTO EBAY SEARCH AND WAS ONE OF MANY TYPES THAT TURNED UP . THOUGHT THEY ARE PRETTY SLICK AND EASILY MOUNTED SOMEWHERE ON FRONT OF A CAR. SEE IF I CAN FIND THEM AGAIN AND POST LINK TO THE ITEM

Great question about if you can see them with the headlights on. Didn't know the answer so I went out to the garage and checked it out in the dark. I do have halogen bulbs and I can see the turn signals flashing with the headlights on. Tried to take a picture but didn't come out.

I'm using the headlamps with small LED bulbs that plug in the back of the lamp. The LEDs are single element so you need to run a splitter with resister/diode to have both running and directional lights. I can set you up with resistor/diodes at no cost..have a ton of them.

My son has a set similar to these on his 37 Chevy and you can see them no problem day or night and they have parking and turn signal capabilities. Really light up great.

Use some original cowl lights (easy to find), convert the socket to a dual filament or led panel. The look will blend with the car.
