That's a fabulous looking car.It appears to be doing a 100 miles an hour just sitting still . I'll bet the money was leaving the wallet at a 100 miles an hour too ;)

I have no idea where this designer is coming from maybe he was born 100 years ago in France because that is where these cars were designed. OH don't get me wrong They were great for there times.Even the Veron has this styling of today.Way out of reach for the common man.And only a head on shot  looks like my 32 on steroids. vette59jdwl

I was taking it as a general thing as building cars all the same no matter what the brand. If the only difference is where the original sheet metal came from that ends up with not much difference. On the other hand being different just to be different doesn't do much for me either. I guess I'm too narrow minded. :D

some people have even gone to email and online war with street rodder magazine due to their overwhelming percentage coverage per issue of 32 fords , especially roadsters.

One year I took all 12 issues of S R mag and counted all the cars featured plus 4 views and year of manufacture.   The 32 ford roadster was shown 27.9% of the 12 months total coverage.  People whom I have met are so enthralled that they have one, even if steel repo and/or glass.   " I got a deuce !!!  ",  ya so what so does everybody else if you believe magazines editors praying at the the 32 ford church .

As far as they are concerned its the only car ever made worth owning all others don't count.  I have seen them ask for room 32 at nats events.  They are consumed with all things deuce ! Too the point of it being a mental sickness.

I read something on a site about the show, the car did not start life as a roadster but a 3 window coupe that got decapitated.

The rad shell is leaned back, looks good.  You can see the 3 w coupe in the doors as they are really long, correct roadster doors are much shorter.

Still good looking car !!!!!

I do love  my bow ties but they are not the only thing out there.

It's great that most of us here aren't so narrow minded to just go with the heard.

So was anyone else here intrigued by cars on a tv program when you were a kid?

Last week I saw a rerun of the Andy Griffith show. Otis got a car and it was a CLEAN 35 ish ford  convertable.

Oh and the German staff cars on Hogans heroes! Long and chrome

I have one Ford. It's a 1960 800 Tractor. Chevy didn't make tractors. :( Although a friend has a Farmall with two 235 Chevy sixes mounted in line.  :o

Speaking of Fords.....I have a (new) New Holland T1520 35HP 4X4 diesel tractor with hydro. It will not start right up when below 15 degrees, I played with it today for a hour to finally get it started (5 degrees today). I had to put a salamander type heater under the engine for about 20 minutes. It's in my work shop that I only keep heated when I'm in during the day..but I keep the block heater plugged all the time.  I gets fuel and the glow plugs are working...it just doesn't like really cold weather.

The tractor only has 200hrs and has never been reliable in really cold temps. I convinced the dealer to give me a new high amp battery ..but same thing, the starter turns it barely then shuts down with a clicking sound. Been online and apparently it's a common problem with that tractor.

Should have bought the John Deere...my old 1952 Farmall McCormick W4 would start even at 20 below zero...but it was a gas engine.

Shoulda gone with the John Deere.
Some chrome wheels, and you could start the Grand National Tractor Show.  ;)
Speaking of tractors, did I show the old Farmhill we have down here with two V8s?
One Ford small block, and one Chev small block in line. Its hardcase.

Ed today is your lucky day.Up here on the farm we have this 78 OLDSMOBILE yes its a 4 door nothing fancy,BUT we tore this small eight out and put in a punched 454 with a turbo hydro transmission,That thing was a pig to start chewed up starter snouts and batteries. The remedy. We unpluged the coil wire and ran it into the car to a switch on/off,And also put on a steel snout for a gmc started special order. Then what we do now is turn the fire OFF.Turn the starter on wait till the engine is cranking at full speed and then turn the ignition on CA-Boom she starts right up sometimes when she is real cold she sputters and farts but she stays running till she warms up and then watch the gravel fly.  vette59jdwl PS we also have another switch right next to the radio with a red light on it.It is for turning out the running and brake lights. I wonder what thats for lool lol
