Removed the old shifter and clutch pedal. Goodbye Imortan Joe shifter knob . 😦
Looks and feels a bit more roomier.  While I was at it.  Mounted the lil tach farther down the column and somewhat hidden.  I still need to do indicators for the turn signals but I hear it clicking for now.
Took it for it's 1st test drive since the column swap.  I like this smaller steering wheel and still good with a manual steer car. 😎

We have decided to hold the Test and Tune regardless of the number of entries. Of course Mother Nature will have the final say.
This will provide an opportunity to get licensed, qualify to run on the long course, have your vehicle inspected, make some tuning runs and work out any bugs the vehicle may have. Just be aware this is not an event to qualify for or set any records.
We will also be offering runs for both the 130 and 150 mph clubs.
There will not be any gasoline or fuel available on the salt so you will need to bring your own supply.
We hope to see several of you there and hope for good weather and track conditions. ///

Can't wait.  😁
Talking with sid.  He wants to do some secret testing beforehand.  Found a location with enough ground to do low speed runs to test steering speed and other things.
I've cleared my whole summer for this.  Planning on camping out there to check conditions in the next few weeks.
I pray to the car gods to advise mother nature for a good racing season.

Thank you all, for the support and kind words!

chopper526 After pondering to and fro, I decided to paint the air filter housings black, and did it today.
This is what the Air Maze air filter sticker looked like (bottom), and the top one is my own redesign. I tried to
"Americanize" the Brittish filter sticker, just for fun.
I'll still have to order the sticker, but that's what it will look like. Just noticed that I have a typo there.

Yesterday I jacked up the body, still sitting on its dolly, to be able to do some welding that I couldn't do while
the frame was still bolted to the floor. To be done is finish welding a lot of rosette welds along the trans tunnel
and some details around the bottoms of the B-pillars.

The bottom edge along the rear of the body has some rust along it, so it needs some repair work done.

Great to have you back Coley!  The tail light stand you made for my 33 is still looking good!  Keep at it!

Hey Coley, that's a good tip, thanks. It's ok to slow down, just don't stop!
