Kinda quiet on the bowtie. HOTROD PICTURES NEEDED
« on: May 31, 2014, 11:55:58 AM »
Youi can always tell when the weather gets nice all the sites slow down. But now would be a good time to take some shots of the local car happenings and post them here. Super kool engines, wheel and tire combos, any unique body,  interior designs, dashboards, all makes welcome, What ya think?

Seems like all I've been doing this year is house and yard maintenance after the tough winter. Every time I turn around I find something else that needs attention. With luck I'll be able to focus on the car and bike and start having some fun....

I spent yesterday and today buffing and waxing the truck.Got to do the wheels tonight. The old bitch looks pretty good for being 15 yrs old and 190 k on the clock. Not to mention it never spent any time in a garage unless it was broke!

Was gone bass fishing in Maine with my son and a few friends.  No laptops, no cell phones just fishing and cold beer when you get back to the cabin :)
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

ghost, prior to seeing this one ( coupe ) on hot rod hotline dot com show coverage  ??? the only other one I saw street rodded was way back in the 70's and  a guy with a name I will never forget.......BUZZ SVARDA from ohio, had it featured in rod and custom magazine early 70's I think.  The guy I bought my coupe from and I went out about 50 miles away to look at a 33 chevy coupe and the guy also had a 32 Rockne for sale..........it was complete and mint mint mint.  Why frank never bought it was beyond me and I was talking to him about this right after I found the picture and sent it too him.  He agrees he should have bought that car. It was a beauty.

He ended up buying a 1925 dodge brothers 4 door sedan, first restoring it and then getting another chassis and putting a MAS 6" dropped tube and a jag rear end in it with Cadillac wires and a 454 ...400 hp with 400 turbo.

Are there more pictures of the coupe?

That was the only picture in some show coverage I was looking at.  No idea where it originated from.

When I googled ROCKNE 1932 I came up with a whole raft of body styles I never knew existed.  Including a panel truck .

I had a set of new Koker baby moons for sale and this guy showed up for them this afternoon. It's a1923 overland 3 window coupe. This is real rare I am told because they did not mass produce the 3 window and the only way to get one was to special order it. I don't know if that's true or not but the car was pretty cool with it's small block 327, 700 r4 auto. modified s 10 front suspension, and 92 t bird independent rear suspension. The paint was a red metal flake He found the car in pieces here in denver quite awhile ago behind someones shed.
Have a look...John
