Post by: EDNY on August 14, 2017, 07:30:42 AM
Check out the ticket cost for this August 26th fight.  You can click on the level to see the prices. Tickets range from $1500 to $150K

Could buy a lot of car parts with even the cheap seats.

Wow, that's crazy. My grandad and his dad were both big boxing fans (and did a little). I remember him talking about the last match he went to was $50, and he said he would never pay that much again. :D

Things are just getting way outta hand, the cost for any type of sporting event is totally ridiculous in my book. :o

My son ordered the fight on "pay per view", I think it is $100. Personally, I think it's a waste of $100.

I'm sure he has his group that will gather at his place and enjoy a couple of cold ones....still a lot of money for a fight that may only go two rounds.

As a trained fighter, I've watched the sport go from silly stupid money, to crazy ridiculous money over the years. I've studied seven styles of martial arts, and had one ring public boxing fight.
Public bouts have always been about the money, corruption is rife, and always will be, as everyone involved wants their cut.
I don't watch these fights, untill after, as I can't stand the hype, and all the crazies who buy into it.
In saying that, I knew McGregor would lose, and kinda wish I'd put a bet on it. I don't gamble, but should have this time. Ain't hindsight a great thing.
