I'm looking for an extra bare frame for my 34 Chevy Master coupe and was told the 34 Master was the only year I could use.
My current 34 chassis is an old 70's build (ie stick welder) - would like to set up another 34 "rolling" Chassis with driveline,Mustang II, rear axle etc while the car is still on the road...then just do a complete body swap.
Have one located "way up in Canada" but it's a 14hr drive one way from me. If anyone is near Cochrane, Ontario heading south even some of the distance would be willing to pay for transport.

A 34 master frame does have an x member the 34 standard most likely doesn't
There must be some differences in the 35 standard and 34 master frames as a 34 master grille shell is 2 inches taller than a 35 standard grille shell although they look identical . I have one of each(grille shells)

The 34 standard frame has a central K member.........35 standard has X member that starts at the front cross member becomes X in middle of frame under seats and the back part of the X goes partially into the rise for the side of the frame where it starts to rise over the rear end.
To start with the 34 master frame is 110 inch wheelbase and the standard series for 34--35 is 107". It has different widths at the bumper bolts front and rear , plus the front cross member is radically diff.
Note the 34 standard frame in picture the *K member is 3/4 way down frame
The 34 master pictured at top is more a weird K member than an X. Its a beefy frame designed for rigidity.
No picture of a 35 full frame shot X. but will use two of my frame pictures of the build from 96. The X member goes all the way inside up to the front cross member. The X member is installed with 3/8 fine button head allen heads, steel washers both sides and lock nuts. They go into the same holes that the 186 factory rivets came out of.

Thanks for the offer...that would still be a good drive for the seller and me. No hurry..I'll find someone heading east towards Quebec or the eastern end of Lake Ontario.

10-4...the 1000 Island Bridge is 3hrs from me via NY, then 3 hrs through Canada to Mississauga, 6+ hrs one way isn't bad for me. The problem is it's a -17hr- round trip for the guy with the chassis to Mississauga and back...he won't go for it.
He said that when one of his contacts heads down to the border...he will set me up. Been waiting over a year now, tried one shipping company that wanted it crated and delivered to a dock :-\....I can wait a few more months...really is no biggie...I have plenty of work to get done around here and know it will get here sooner or later.

Ed I am going to Sudbury which is closer to Cochrane than Mississauga !!! And I am sure once the frame is in Mississauga it shouldn't be to hard to get it rallied closer to the 1000 islands for you . joe mac
