That's a tough one to decide on a favorite. A.G., Hollywood Knights, Return to Macon County, California Kid, Two Lane Blacktop, Vanishing Point, Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry, Thunder Road, like them all.  ;D

The love bug.  ::)  ;D

 I remember a movie about a kid with a i believe 65 chevelle malibu. It was a pretty fast street car, and some corporation wanted to sponsor him for drag racing, but they were a corrupt bunch and he wanted out of the contract. there response was either race or give them the car. So he raced his beautiful chevelle one night at the local stock car track where he beat it up REAL bad, and then turned it over to them. A class b movie I'm sure, but I thought it was pretty cool when I watched it years ago.
The other one was  a movie that Ron Howard starred in where he stole a stock car , and the chase was on all through his small town to get it back. I think the guys that owned the car hired him to drive for them at the end of the movie.

American Graffiti, it's a little historical and Smokey and the Bandit, it's pure cheese.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

American Graffiti, but anything that has lots of old cars in it is fine with me. I especially like the one where you can hear the gears whine and the cowboys on horses are outrunning the cars. :)

If you like American Graffiti here's a video that shows some of the film clips and what the location looks like in Petaluma Ca. now.

Thanks Tom. That movie could have bee filmed in Walnut Creek where we lived it or dozens of other California towns. Walnut Creek even had a Mel's Drive In. The cool thing about that movie is that it depicts what we thought we were done by a guy that was there.

I love em all.
If you guys haven't seen the Aussy film, Running on empty, look it up on You Tube.
Its a little silly in some places, but has a gorgeous 57 blown Chevy owned by a blind fella.
Also, check out Kiwi movies, Smash Palace, and Goodbye Pork Pie.

I was in Milwaukee Wisconsin when Graffiti was showing.

I was attending the GM Training Center for classes on Air Conditioning.

I parked my 1933 Chevy 3 Window Street rod and enjoyed the movie.
When we came out there was a fellow with a Model A Coupe Street Rod next to my car.

We talked a while and the crowd formed around us and the 2 cars.

We then toured around Milwaukee for a while and had a good time.

Still my favorite car movie.
