Pictures will probably the easiest to figure out this tank install ???
Anyway when we bought this 37 Chevy 4dr sedan it did not have fuel tank installed but had a new boxed one included.
The box indicates it came from Tanks Inc, Clearwater, Mn part# 37-CG and includes (2) mounting straps.
The tank can be easily positioned in and up above the frame and rests in place. I can see slots on the rear frame where one strap could lock up and over the tank and one strap lock down and under the tank then forward on each side...but don't see any mounting points up front?
How the heck is the tank installed? Does it require (4) straps? Does it contact the rear trunk floor or is it suspended?
Thanks

Ed I don't know where a '37 tank mounts for sure. But if it's like the later model ones that mount up under the trunk pan, they have 2-cushion pads(straps) on the top of tank to cushion it against the trunk floor pan. Then 2 metal straps holding it up tight to the trunk floor. They should have the same type cushion pads under them also. Hope this helps, but maybe not this type.
I sometimes cut strips of rubber inner tube for the cushion pads, works well.

I believe the straps would have a folded part of the strap on one end and a t style bolt folded into the other end to bolt through a hole in the frame. I hope my memory serves me on this for you.

Borrowed this picture from "Chucks36"...it's not a 37 Master and has the filler neck on the drivers side (37 is on pass side)..but it has the (2) strap setup...I can see some type of cross "strap" up front which I don't have. Guess I'll study it again tomorrow.
Thanks
Ed

Here is the tank:

They sell a "SET" of straps.....I assume a set is (2) or they would indicate you need (2) sets for a total of four straps?
May just give them a call.
Thanks
