Title: LEDs

Any of you guys running LED conversions for you tail light/brake light/turn signals?  What is your opinion?

Munch... I have used  Ron Francis   LED  third brake lights in the last  build I did ..Have been satisfied with the third brake light, Also have just recently installed the same unit in my 33. ...Also going with the  '38-'39 Ford style LED Tail lights on the '33 , I have had these left over from my last build ...May change those  at some point  when I find the correct pair of tail lights  for the 33
 
Also converted  Tail lights on a '39 Chevy I had to LEDs..best I re call I had to install a dummy load to get the signals to work correctly

I run the LED tail lights on my 38, I really like them, nice and bright.

Have regular bulbs in my 34's taillights and LED's in my 33's ....the LEDs actually hurt my eyes when I look at the brake light because they are so bright.

  What I did not notice was that when you cranked the car, the tail lights were no.  No matter that the switch was off.  I had put a lever type brake switch by the brake pedal and when I moved the connections back to the inline brake switch they operated correctly.  That is not on until turned on.

I don't understand.  The reason I switched from the inline was that it required so much pressure to activate the brake lights and it was a safety thing.

Any advice?

Would be great if you had a diagram...but are the LED's wired so they have 12v all the time and only supplied ground via the brake pedal switch? (or the other way around)

I'm sure you know that LED's are power directional POS to POS and NEG to NEG and can't be crossed.
