Been working on finishing the FITech installation.  Almost there.  Too many distractions and cookouts >:(
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

Fortunately or unfortunately, all of my days off I have spent down the Jersey shore working on the golf course. A lot of my free time in the city is spent......researching and buying stuff for the golf course. I have, however, had the chance to drive my son's '76 Camaro around a bit. It's a real nice driver, but with that 6 cylinder, it won't get out of its own way. Also, a branch broke off of one of our trees and put a basketball sized dent in the roof. So, if I do get a chance to work hard...on cars, I guess it will involve some body work. It might even involve an engine swap cause this 6 cyl. is a boat anchor!
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Hardly working here :(  my body is still rebeling against me.  Tried working on the '69 Elcamino yesterday, got 20mins in before I had to say uncle.  >:(  This is really pissing me off!

Chopper, sorry to hear about the Camaro problems. My old girlfriends '67 Camaro 250 3-speed ran really good. She ran a guy with a '75 305 Camaro in the 1/4 and beat him. Another friend in high school had a '76 Camaro with the 250, never knew it was till he rolled it. He use to bird dog for us coming home from ball games running around 100mph and on his CB telling us to bring it on.   ;D  I guess some run much better than others.

I'm an inline guy and would much rather see a Camera with a built six than just another one with a small block. I think some of those had 230s or even 194s, which aren't as "powerful" as a 250. There is lots of stuff out there for the sixes and they can be all you "need " on the street. The bottom end is near bulletproof with 7 main bearings. I understand the V8 thing for lots of reasons and at this point I have 3 vehicles with 350s . One of those is about to get a 292 six.
Back to working hard, I am but most is not car stuff. Prepping the place for fire season and getting ready for a Texas trip has me going. Fighting weeds, rodents in the garden, and keeping the "wild" horses out of my wife's flowers doesn't leave much time for the car projects. When do the Golden Years kick in?  :o

Working I other projects...sons Hyundai broke a timing belt....tore it a part what a pain ...8 bent valves...ordered gasket kit, water pump ,pulley and other items.. Got to tear top part of engine down to replace rear spark plugs, needless to say has original plugs in it ( job security for Hyundai mechanics)... Then order tools I didn't have. A torque angle gauge and some harden sockets...going to put it back together this weekend.....was going to cruise the '33 had a fuel pump leak ( found out later on it had some loose screws that bolt the halves together and can clock the position you need)....anyways new chrome one installed....when we get caught up it'll be time to run to Branson Mo. for a few days

Hardly working here  :o.
Had back to back camping trips. Kinda screwed up my weekend routine. Finally got the sprinklers going.
Have a huge list of things to fix around the house.
Also need to get that darn car torn apart. Kinda hard when you can just start it up and go.
