That's my caliber - 280 Remington....I have a Thompson Center Encore stainless Pro-Hunter in 280 Remington (Nikon Monarch scope) with gold inlayed receiver from the custom shop. Bought it for myself it as a retirement gift  ;D

I have a 30-30 its put away I had a 3008 its long gone.I had a 30-06 its long gone. I have two 280's one is my dads that i enherated its a pump it a wall hanger. My 280 semi auto is always loaded with 110 grain followed by 180's.The 110 grain is a trama shot  just like a missel, and they are getting hard to find. I get mine from Amo Man.Com in New Hampshire He loads them for me and cheaper than i can. My hunting days are coming to a close. I think i am just going to wet my line.I purchased a wee 19 foot Thundercraft Flamingo with a hp 350 a few years ago for the kids to go water skiing and for me to do a little salmon fishing out in Lake Ontario

I'm in a good situation...just walk about 500 yards to my tree stand behind our home. When things work..I drop my deer about 8am, go home, change, have a coffee and drive my ATV back for the deer.

This year I had my deer made into jerky and slim jim type saugage...the kids already cleaned me out.
