Cool restaurant's in your area
« on: January 12, 2016, 09:14:07 PM »
Any cool 50's style restaurant's in your area.???
Today on the way home from somewhere, we got to stop in at my favorite burger joint. It's called Woody's.
When I lived with my grandparents this was just outside my neighborhood. A 2min bike ride away. Every once in a while they would send me to go get shakes. Great childhood memories,  plus it had a jukebox inside. One of my favorite tunes was Big Bad John. I threw in 3 quarters today.  8) ;D

That's a nice looking place. I'd go to it. All we have around here is a place called Rosies. I't set up like that, but the new management for the most parts are to young to appreciate what they have and therefore run it like any other chain restaraunt. Kinda lost it's magic. I guess it works the way they run it cuz it's still there.

A few years ago there were sell several old places around here but we got Californicated. Now it's mostly new places that sorta look like old places.
Big Bad John- Somewhere around here I have an old family movie made when we were gathering cattle at my Uncle's ranch. It shows him and Jimmy Dean riding up to the front gate to get a beer. I think the sausage is better than the music. ::)

My buddy has one right here in Champlain...but it's closed for the winter and he's in Florida right now.

Great subject!  Not too many of these places left.  There is one in the town just south of me.  It's called Joey's Diner.  They do have a cruise night in the summer.  I want to take the grandkids there soon.  Here's a few pics.
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!
