Title: Weatherstripping
Post by: chopper526 on May 21, 2013, 12:28:43 PM
Hey guys, a couple quick questions; I am working on putting my door glass back in the car. What have you guys used for window channeling? (It looks like the original used two side channels with a foam rubber top) And have any of you put weatherstripping around your doors?

Ed, I was on the HAMB and saw you bought some window channel off of Jan Bogert, how did that work out for you?       Jim

Jim

He gave me a heck of a deal..haven't used it yet..but bought some channel and the channel glide (whatever it's called). He is our forum member: Jan Bogert10

Would recommend him...

I didn't like the foam or felt at the top so I ran u-channel top and sides.

Thanks, munch, that is what I am going to use. Did you use anything around the outside of the door?

Not yet, I am asking that same question on another post.  I was told to look at Steele Rubber, but there is so much I wanted to see what has been successful with others.

Yes, you are right. I have a Steele catalog and have been on their site. They have so much to choose from. Without using someone else's experience it is hit or miss/trial and error.
