Guy's I wish to know if the 1965 Pontiac GTO is a speciall frame or if it is on a stock or modifies Chevelle / Beaumont frame and what fits what thanks vette 59 jdwl

you need to know what PLATFORM they built the Pontiac gto and the chevelle on, that will answer your question , because unfortunately I do not know.
But I telephoned my friend at GM Oshawa and he said the gto 64-65 is built on the tempest platform. Common to Pontiac only.
Starting in 1967 the gto-- chevelle ---buick skylark--olds cutlass were built on the same platform as are other models built on specific platforms

Thanks MadMike I also found out same as Skylark 64 to 67 the Hard-top frame is not boxed like the convertible frame is El camino also the same but a little longer behind the rear wheels A body frames changed in 67.Thanks again vette59jdwl
