What's your plans for that trailer?
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

Rattiac, Looks like a really nice trailer. Those V nose jobs sure make a difference in wind drag on the road. Now the work begins, you know what works for you so it should turn out great!

I'm looking forward to watching progress here. It is a blank canvas. With your skills and all the modern and vintage components out there it will be fun to see what you do. I am reminded of the Disney cartoon that I think called Mickey's Trailer. I hope you can find an awning, flower boxes and a zip up bathtub with the hot water already in it.  ;D

What's your plans for that trailer?
Convert it to a camper. With room to stand .

The V-nose is the only way to go.
Once I get the front down a bit lower , should help.
I also plan on some aerodynamic improvements to the roof rack air dam.

Here's a preview of the floor plan.
There will be under bed storage as well. Lot's of other lil small trailer/Van tricks like flip out tables and even a tiny wood burning stove specifically made for RV's.

One reason the entry is at the rear is more privacy at campground and gives a place to remove shoes .

Will there be windows? I'd think about a rounded nose for more storage. Rain drops are the ideal aero package. round fronts and pointy backs. Closing the air behind is as least as important as pushing it out of the way. I see some interesting aero additions on trucks now.

Swapped out the roof vent lid. Should fit in the shop now.
Tried out some drop hitches my boss loaned me.
A 8" and a adjustable lowest was 7.5".
The 8" had the trailer perfectly level while the other brought it up a tad.

Also mocked up my floor plan. Bed, Sink, stove and porta potty.
Queen size bed will fit with inches to spare.

Now I need to get the 32 fired up so I can put the trailer up against the back wall.

But of course,,,,,,, our dryer stopped heating on laundry day and I'll have to fix that.
I need a clone of me. 😉

My grandparents had an old VW buss set up as a camper sorta'. The best thing about it was a tent room that we built that hung from a awning and made a nice outside area. One end had a small area screened off with a plastic tarp that held a the port-pooty and a shower. Not too good for winter camping but pretty nice otherwise.

Rattiac, you did gain some clearance on that swap.

Sixball, been following your wood adventure. Sure looks like an overwhelming project. Figuring all that out and setting up with all the tools, keeping the guy's busy in the mean time ;D You'll get there pretty quick when you get started and in the groove!

Sitting in my pickup charging cell battery, juice has been off since 8am. Transformer blew at the substation northside of town. They seem to be having trouble getting a crain to lift new in place😡 maybe done by dark.

Finishing up(was) on Viking door exterior. Tom dropped off RH door friday. Thought i got the worst one first, wrong! He sand blasted on bottom and discovered the entire bottom needs replaced. Thats going to be challenging to get all those bends in one shot. Guess i'll deal with it when i get too it ;)

I haven't done anything on the roadster, tools, wood ,or parts cleaning it two days. I removed old labels ad cleaned 40 wine bottles today. Ready to bottle the Prickly Pear wine.
Going into Reno tomorrow to see if we can finish the flywheel and get a start on the exhaust header. I'll also put the pistons on the rods while my son is doing the flywheel. I used to help him.  :(

Ed, hope you get rid of that crap soon. Came thru here several weeks ago. It's been early High School since I had any type flu. Doc said I had so many chemicals in me from the shop that bugs couldn't live in me.  ;D  I guess it's a good thing i've been spraying lots of lacqure lately to keep me amune ;)

I got the pieces made and loosely propped up. I had to make a few patterns as I disected the rust. It gave me a headache trying to figure it with just two pieces, so its four I have to weld together.
I lost my wrist brace couple days ago, so I fubar'd my wrist. Take a couple days off to clean up, recoup and let Tom take door down to blast the inside while it's WIDE OPEN!
