Blower carbs

(1/1)

Cool53:
This one is easy. Power valves/power pistons can't work on a supercharged (carb sitting on top of a Roots blower) engine. That's because under the carb there is always that big pump sucking on the carb, and the faster you spin it gage more suck you get. So power valves and pistons stay closed or down. With Holley style carbs you can either buy a blower carb where the power valve circuit is rerouted to a port on the metering block that you stick a hose on and stick in the intake somewhere under the blower. Now the power valve sees vacuum and boost and call is well with the world.
