I am in the process of replacing the universal joints in my steering setup as they excess play in the existing ones. If I read the instructions correctly, where the joint is 3/4" to 1" DD it calls for drilling the long set screw into one wall of the shaft but not all the way through the entire shaft to the second wall. Is this correct?The other 3/4 universal connection just call for dimpling the shaft for the set screw in set in.Also is Borgenson a good joint to use?
By the way I have a brand new borgeson 3/4 inch DD to 1 inch DD I'm not needing. I just looked up the steel one like mine. $92.00 From Borgeson. WHEW I will let mine go for $50.00 plus shipping.
