Not cheap...but if you want a custom billet button ..you can design your own.

Some years ago a friend stored his Smitty mill/drill/lathe at my house for over a year. It was the bottom end machine and cost about $600 at that time. I found that cheapo machine worth it's weight in gold. Turning out knobs, cutting slots and making other little doo-dads was fun, easy and looked lots better than say drilling two holes and cutting between them with a Dremel tool. For labeling the knobs I used a local trophy shop.

I know what you mean...been looking for a used mini milling machine...and hoping to find one with tooling. Have an old Rockwell 11" lathe that I use on a regular basis...that is a handy machine. Just turned down my first rifle barrel on it.
Made a manual loading AR for varmints out back, no gas tube so it can't fire semi-auto.

My son's first lathe was a watch makers lathe we picked up at a pawn shop. He had it in his dorm room at college where he and his friends used it for a pencil sharpener. When he graduated he bought a lathe/mill/drill from Harbor Freight. I is not a precision machine but it has served him well for over ten years. He used it to help restore his bigger lathe. Now his shop is filled with good quality machine tools but he still uses the little combo tool for some things.
