I'm looking for the passenger side tail light arm (without license plate bracket) for my 33 Chevy.
Thanks,
Tom

Took me a while to locate (2) 33-34 Chevy taillight horns for my 33 coupe.. When I did..both were driver side with license plate bracket. I recently removed the mounting tab on one and made a filler panel. Couldn't locate the small rivets that holds the mini panel in...so I used (3) round screws and flattened the inside like rivets and used brass to close the screw driver slot.
Now going to use the horns on my 34 coupe instead (removing the Nova tailights in the tailpan)
Found a pair of chrome repro 33-34 Ford horns on ebay for $30 brand new..(lucky) They work great with the Speedway stainless 55-59 Chevy pickup truck taillights. The brake LED lights are real bright...actually hurts to look at them.
FYI: There is an outfit on eBay that sells a "shorty" version of the 33-34 Ford horns...I bet they would look good with the Chevy truck lights.

Speedway has this solid casting for $40. You have to drill it out and radius it for the fender. I may just go with this if I can't find an original.

These guys list them.I don't if they're cast or not but they show a picture and they look stamped. Maybe worth a try.

Moose,
I send them an email. I've bought parts from them before. Great people to work with.
Thanks,
Tom

Hope they (I&I) aren't out of stock again.
I'd send an email to the link below "1933-1935 Buy/Sell Chevy Parts" he may have a used one. Bought parts from him in the past...great to deal with.
My original plan was to make a mold and make a set in fiberglass...then I found the Ford units.

Called I&I and they are still out of stock on both arms and the tail light housings. I'm on their list and will get a call when they come in but they didn't know when that will be. I'll try "1933-1935 Buy/Sell Chevy Parts" and see what they have.

I have been on that waiting list about 2 years now. Found one via the VCCA and the other locally.

Tried AAA Parts and 1933-1935 Buy/Sell Chevy Parts but no luck. I'll keep searching :)

Found one! I won this one on EBay. It's a reproduction and from the pictures looked pretty nice. I read the reviews of others that bought the same one and they were happy with it. I'll let you know when I get it. Here's a pic.

Tom
Good deal....would be interested in how it works. Did you mention this forum to the seller in case they has more Chevy parts.

I was going to tell him about it when I get an email from him. It looks like he does have other parts. I'll find out what he has.

If anyone else is looking for a 33 - 34 Master 35 Standard Tail Light Bracket, these are great quality. I got them off of EBay from a vendor called "chevi-shop". Here are a couple of pictures compared to the original one I had.
-
He did a great job reproducing them! Just sent him an invite.

I just mailed a Rusty Bowtie business card to him.

Thanks form the invite to this website.
I make the tail lamp stands and I used to make the buckets also.
I could cast them in ZA alloy as thin as the steel stamped ones.
Lost all the tooling in my fire. Am trying to figure out how I can do them again as I need some also.
I just am too old to go into lost wax investment casting again.
There are a lot of cars out there with my ZA lights on them.
Changed the name of my shop from CHEVY to Chevi because of the GM lawsuits.
I also made trademark nameplates for Cameos and such, but had to stop that, as well.
I really like the site.

Greg,
Glad you like the site. Lots of really good people on here. I enjoy the casting post you've done so far.

Greg,
What would you need to make some new molds? I do 3D Cad for work if that would help. If you have someone that could make molds from 3D models maybe I could help.

I'm thinking these might look better on my 32 than the stockers. I haven't drilled the fenders yet so I'm looking for some.
I'm thinking the speedway ones may be able to be ground to fit the fenders.
Any ideas?

Not trying to sway you...just responding as a FYI. Don't know what tail light you want to run, ie Chevy, Ford etc., but in my earlier post I have pictures of my Speedway stainless 55-59 Chevy LED truck lights mounted on 33/34 Ford fender horns. They fit each other nicely, they also sell a stubby 33/34 Ford horn that would look nice with the 55-59 Chevy truck lights.
I personally like the lense size of the truck lights and the LED's are real bright. Between them and a LED third brake light in the rear window...the folks behind your car will see you! The Speedway truck lights also come without LED.

Not to derail this subject, but Ed I saw your post awhile ago and this is what I plan on doing on my 34. I have been looking at the swap meets for a set of 34 Ford arms, but they are hard to come by here in the midwest. I would like to find a set that I can chop myself. I am concerned that the pre-chopped ones might be too short. Guess I will keep looking! :)

Good deal...FYI I had to remove the pressed in nuts inside the tail lights and spread the mounting hole spacing a tiny bit to fit the Ford horns. Then I made a gasket from an old bicycle tube and installed it between the light and horn.

Hey Ed,
I like the look of the truck lights!
I have both stands for the 32 but was in the shop with my son and he said that I should do something else with the taillights. I like your solution.
I think the speedway ones may work best for me because I can grind them to fit the fender.
I do like the blue dots though.

Hey Ed,
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the arms. I like the ones that you used, but am also thinking of taking 2" out of the stockers.
How flat is the mounting flange at the fender side? I like your lights but am thinking I would like to use the stock lights. Do you have a pic of where the light mounts?

Hey Mike
I saw the tape you had on the tail light arm so I figured that was what you were thinking of removing. I ran it through Photoshop to give you an idea of who it would look...

Hey thanks,
That was a great idea!
I'm not sure if I like that better or not. I hate to kill all the styling of the 32 that's why I'd like to keep the original lights.
Still other stuff to do...
Just looked again, I do like it
I think it's the bumper sitting out so far that's bothering me. I do have new bumpers but need the backers. So maybe I'll have the spring shop make them so the bumpers are closer to the body.

I am sure glad you liked the 1933 -34 stands.
I have been making them for many years, but got burned out about 13 years ago and just have been working on them again. Shop Fire.
I make both sides for the 1933-34 all and 35 standard.
I am also making the 1935-36 short coupe stand for the RH side.
I am just now trying to get the molds done for the 1935-36 LH coupe, with the license stem.
I also have a cast tail light housing in the works for the 1935-36 stands. Hard to cast something that thin.
When I have parts going, I usually put them on eBay.
