printed out the pictures how to posting stuff, will take a crack at it.

I have owned the 35 coupe since 1970, was one of the original 600 at first street rod nats in Peoria Ill. Its black nitrocellulose lacquer, re done in 80. Has kugel front, jag rear, 350 ZZ4 , 700R4, assorted original options : right tail light, luggage rack, bumper guards ,cowl lights,  rear inside stem wind Chevrolet clock mirror, vent window insect screens..........its a RESTO ROD, 70's style.

the 35 roadster I call SHAZZBOTT = robin Williams mork from ork Tv show, when he got mad said shazzbott.   bought car in 2012 in tenn off ebay.  Only thing left of what I bought is : cowl , doors, quarter panels, dash, top assembly bows , windshield assembly.  Everything else was sold off or outright scrapped as crap.  Car is in pieces and I do mean pieces.

Interesting thing I have found out since buying roadster, its not a fisher body, body was supplied to Chevrolet by an outside supplier, I call Chevrolet body works.  The cowl angle is different on the sides, the body lines thru the doors are different, the angle over the rumble seat lid is different than closed cars .  The door hinges are hidden, the door strikers are diff as is the dovetail and the door latch. The latch mechanisms are different .

Supposedly this car came from the GM Buenos Aries Argentina assembly line as a right hand drive, because the dash board is . It would have been stamped out at a new York state plant and all the components shipped to Argentina for reassembly.

It came back into southern USA in late 80's until I got it.   This will be another resto rod style car very similar to the coupe except will have 16 & 18 Dayton powder coated soft green wires.  I have a duval bronze windshield for it .
The motor will be ZZ383 crate with weber IDF 48's, maybe 6 speed tremec or 700R4 .  paint will be black nitro lacquer, 2 tone.

GHOST...somewhere along the line I will be taking these apart to have the parts powder coated and make new top bows wood.  Think I will steam bend the northern ash in 3/8---1/2" thick lengths and laminate the pieces together so the wood doesn't get broken when you try to bend it as it tends to do with 1" thick wood.

I learned a lot about steam bending when I made the seat surround/top holding wood part.  I used 3 wallpaper steamers in 4" round abs pipe. There is a video on u tube about a guy showing how to do it to a set of top bows he was making.

no idea what year buick roadster you have , but I could take tracings of the metal top bow parts for you, might be 2 years before I get to that.??????

Thanks for the welcome guys, me and old black have been together a long time   (since 1970 ), other than replacing existing interior burnt orange velour type cloth with naugahyde or a leather[size=, its exactly how I want it to sit and ride. 1980 paint could use some spots fixed up also...

I went to my CDR's a picked out some pictures of what i did thru all spring to fall as far a woodwork on the roadster SHAZZBOTT .  I may start a separate thread on the roadster build.

Thanks madmike. I coppied the picture mostly to get an idea how the roof folds. Iwill be using steel tubing to reproduce the look and fold of a roadster top, it will have an oak header board for the top to clip to when up. It's a 26 buick roadster.
