It is scary how fast the government is pushing us into electric vehicles with so little information to the public if where the electricity comes from and how it is produced. I the west with rolling brownouts just to run homes hoe are they going to charge everyone's cars every night?
A Tesla caught on fire in Reno a few weeks ago and they had to clear a 300' area because of toxic fumes. Has anyone seen a report of what happens when huge lithium/ion batteries burn? It is nasty stuff. This is not "green" energy. When the Tesla Giga factory was built a few miles from here the county & state pretty much suspended ALL environmental laws & concerns to attract the business. Tesla has not lived up to the promises made because they don't have to. GM is no different. Has anyone thought if how much easier it will be for the government to control travel by turning off charging stations and how much more electricity will cost when the biggest demand is charging electric vehicles. What about all the used batteries? Will they be berries with all the non-recyclable wind mill blades the must be replace every few years? I can not wait to read about the first wreck involving and electric car and a hydrogen car.
