My buddy was out of town delivering cars when his home burned down. Everything was insured including the vette, just took a couple pictures of what's left of the 63 convertible , SBC, 4sp car.

Heart breaking and I don't even like Corvetts, especially post '62, but that was someones darlin'. Fire is my biggest fear here. Even if I was home most would not be saved. His looks like a total loss, very, very sad. :( Just in time for Christmas and winter. :( So sorry for your friend.

Damn that's a shame. Looks like he lost a lot, bad deal insurance or not.

If you read the article you will note that the fire fighter community responded from all directions including Canada.
When I was a border patrol agent in El Paso, Texas the Texas departments stopped responding to Mexican fires because the Mexicans would like to seize the trucks and equipment....a grateful bunch.

What a shame to loose things that way. I feel for him hope he kept a good inventory of his belongings,

Sorry for your buddy. I hate to see that happen to anyone.

That is really a shame! It's bad about the car, but losing your home?! Terrible. At least no one was hurt.

That's a real shame, insurance or not.
I hope your buddy can have a good Christmas, under the circumstances.
