Did you ever sit down and try to remember how many Chevys you have owned.I probably have missed some but from memory this is what I came up with
1950 Chevy Fleetline a Dodge Hemi
1939 Chevy 5 Window Coupe with a Dodge Hemi....Guess I had a thing for Dodge Hemi's in my younger day!
1939 Chevy 5 Window Coupe Master Delux..Stock
1955 Bel Air Hardtop with a built 301cu and 4 speed and a lot of other good stuff
1957 Bel Air sedan with 283 power pack and 3 duces
1957 2 Dr sedan with an all out L88 and straight axle that I ran on the street but was able to get into the 10's at the drags
1961 Corvette that I crammed a big block into (another L88) now that was a damn fun car!!!!
1962 Chevy Corvair.......Why I dont know!
1967 Camaro SS with a 327cu mild engine
1970 Corvette 454 Coupe
1974 Nova
And of course my current 1932 Five Window that over the years has been more fun with that all of the others combined.
I think that's about it. If something else comes to mind I add it to the list.
Lets hear about the Chevys that you have owned
-
That's a good question...thought it was going to be an easy answer...but I started thinking about the 57 Chevy's I drove in local demo derby's and now feel guilty!!! (real guilty) Can I scratch them off the list :)
-
I thought I had a lot of cars, but Moose you put me to shame with just the Chevies you have owned. Anyway, I have only owned four Chevies; 1968, 1970 and 1973 Vettes and, currently, my '32.

Let's see if I can remember them all. most of these were just projects. that I started gathering at 14 years of age.
1. 56 chevy 9 passenger wagon. I begged the guy out of
2. 56 chevy 4 door sedan. bought for $15.00
3. 57 chevy 2 door sedan body bought for $75.00 and put the 56 4 door 6 cylinder and 3 speed
4. 56 2 door wagon.
5. 55 ford 4 door sedan
6. 55 chevy 2 door sedan
7. another 57 chevy 2 door primered sedan that I finally got on the road and street raced, but at this time I had lost my licence and had to rely on my friends to drive it. So I taught them to power shift and we were back in the game.
8. 57 chevy 2 door hard top black highboy this one had a built 327 with twin 4s sticking out of the hood and a rock crusher 4 speed. we couldn't keep the rear gear in this one. (dumb kids)
9. 55 chevy 150 2 door sedan ex drag car. this was the look of the american graffitti car long before the movie came out. black suede, cut rear wheel wells, 8 3/4 mopar rear axle with 513 gears. we ran a hopped up 283 engine built by bandimere hot rod shop it was bored to a 292. It had a m22 rock crusher 4 speed and 12 inch m/h wrinkle wall slicks. this was my street car for one summer until a drunk rear ended me one late summer night.
10. 65 plymouth sattelite 426 wedge 4 speed car nice, but not as fast as my others until I built a 440 and installed a hemi 4 speed and a narrowed mark williams rear axle with 456 gears. Then it held it's own.
11. 38 chevy stovebolt coupe.
12. 36 chevy half ton truck
13. 37 dodge sedan
14. 32 chevy coupe with a complete 92 vette suspension and drive train. fast and fun
15. 28 chevy sedan delivery conversion
16. 29 chevy 3 window coupe
17. 26 buick sedan
18. 27 chevy sedan delivery conversion
I have thrown a few non chevys in there, and I am sure I have missd a few others , but this was fun thinking back to some of the neat cars I have had.
'Thanks John
