Title: 2014 KKOA show Salina, ks
Post by: sammons on July 26, 2014, 07:19:01 PM
Hi fellas, I just thought I would share some chevy pics. Hot here, 100+ fri and sat. Sorry for the quick cell phone pics, they don't do these cars justice.  I really liked this '35 Std 3W coupe, beautify done inside and out. Hard to get clear shot of the cars due to the crowds of people. Their has to be more than 2000 cars up here.

Our ride and a few more. It was a blast, out side of a little flooding problem and the clutch going out of adjustment at the street light drags ( clutch wouldn't disengage and wouldn't allow tranny to shift. Found out to late to make a good pass) I couldn't get 3rd gear first pass, couldn't get in gear at all in staging lanes, finally got it in 3rd only for 2nd pass. Lonnie thought he would give it a go on 3rd pass and couldn't get it in 2nd gear. Oh well, still had fun!

We gave it up and went back home last night. A cold shower and set the A/C on 64 lastnight. I have never attended a large show like this before, just a sea of cars, awesome site. There was now way I got to see even half of them. The host park was over crowded and kind of a nightmare to navigate a vehicle through. Just about anything imaginable there. Well worth the trip, heat and all.

What I didn't care for was the amount of towed in RACE cars taking time away from the original run what ya brung drivers. The other was mostly the younger people parking in the through ways and only entrance/exits on each sections of the park. Most paths were just golf cart type anyway, just no sense of common courtesy at all.

Here was a GMC panel, really looked better in person,  don't know what you would classify it as.
