Title: Can anyone ID this circuit board part?
Post by: EDNY on December 27, 2014, 03:18:09 PM: Can anyone ID this adjustable switch? It's the one on the far right and looks to have the number E05, the other two on the left have part number 205. All three are attached to the mainboard with (3) soldered pins.

It's for the controller board of a mini lathe....just need to know what it is called so I can order one. I know it's bad because when I tap on it..the lathe works. (Already replaced the relays)

Post by: 62131 on December 27, 2014, 05:53:33 PM: I believe what you have is a adjustable resistor value unknown, if it works when you tap on it I would check the solder joint first then the component.

Post by: EDNY on December 27, 2014, 07:11:10 PM: Thanks Moose....I need to locate the schematic to determine the size....found some on eBay, this one auction shows a couple of them beginning with the letter E...so maybe the one I need is E05....but I'll look it over again.

Now that I know what they are called..I'll try to narrow down the proper resistance.
