I Know.....But ,I'm going to ask any how....I would like to add this to the Truck ..with the 235 ,pump mounts are none existent.I'm thinking back 55 to 59/60 chevy had a pump mounted on the back of the Generator,my ???.think that pump would generate enough to work a newer steering gear?

From what I can remember the stock generator mounted pump puts out around 750 psi. You need to know what the requirement is for your steering gear. I would guess that it's more but I would have to research it. I think that there is a pressure relief valve in the pressure port of the pump that is controlled by spring pressure. You might be able to add shims to the valve to increase the pressure to suit the needs of your box.

The generator mounted pump wiil work with the newer boxes like 605 conversion.
I put one together on a 1955 Chevy and it worked fine.
