Title: Old oil can
Post by: FATnLOW on May 01, 2015, 09:50:47 PM
What do you do with an old oil bucket..... Make a lamp...The wife picked this old can up at the swap meet last Saturday and today she transformed it to this  lamp...I told her she needed to make a floor lamp out of  it..  she did all the work her self, some one at one time painted it all red with a paint brush, she stripped it and found the Skelly  Logo

That is nice. My aunt made several lamps out of the hubs of old wagon wheels from our ranch. The best part was she made the shades from old family photos. I think she had a photo studio enlarge and print them on a paper that let some light through. With modern home printers it would be easier today.

Very cool, she's great at re-purposing old things.

That looks great, and your wife has got some talent. I would like to have it, but my wife would put that right up there with the lamp from christmas story if I tried to put it in our living room window.  ;D It would be a good lamp for a man cave, or a single guy.
