I was fortunate enough to have great weather during the Thanksgiving Holiday so I took the 30 on  a trip to my sisters.  She did great, what a hoot...  It was about 130 miles each way with some running around in between.

I do not have any weather stripping on the doors so I did have some wind noise, but I just turned the stereo up.

My question is, what do you guys use for weather stripping?  I have a 30 Coach and do I want to put the stripping around the door edge or the body?

our cars did not have weather stripping on the doors.  There was a large cord material  ( whip cord ? ) that nailed to the wood posts and followed the doors and kept the wind noise down..

The foamy stuff with sticky back that comes in various thicknesses that you would use to seal your house doors against leakage from home depot or lowes or hardware store , Comes in various thicknesses, buy a selection and take back size you do not use.

I have a 2003 chevy s10 extreme 3 door and the stock gm wind seals do not seal so added it all around drivers side and thinks got a whole lot quieter.

I'm thinking about using a D-shaped profile foam weather stripping. Not sure of the width yet, I'm thinking it would be a little more forgiving in the tight and loose areas  since the gaps are not uniform.

Munch that's what's been concerning me too. I will be using the windlace around the interior opening, still think it needs more. I think i will try the small half round hollow 3/8"x 1/4" stuck on the door side when i get around to that.

I would like weatherstrip too. I am going to use the windlace (whip cord/ madmike) and hope that does the trick. My concern with using the foam adhesive backed stripping is: how to determine what is the proper configuration and what is thick/thin enough, and once you stick that stuff onto your paint, it is on there for keeps! I saw a car where they used the foam adhesive backed stuff and they didn't put it on straight and it was too thin and narrow. It looked a little cheesey....... I'm afraid to be the test pilot

  I don't mind testing, as my car is not painted as yet...
