Screen print help (Rusty Bowtie)
« on: December 17, 2022, 02:16:03 PM »
Never tried silk screen printing but learned that it holds up better than the heat transfer system.  Would like to try a one color print just to simplify the process.  On dark colored material a white transfer and on light colored material a black transfer. (keep it simple with only two colors)

Currently looking for a used single press setup but in the meantime would like some help with the artwork.  Attached a sample just to get the artwork ideas started.  Don't have software that allows me to wrap the Rusty Bowtie logo around the graphic etc.

Looking for "one color" logo suggestions from you folks. I'll have the option of submitting the logo to a commercial printing source (so we all can order individually) or I'll experiment on my end.

Would like to give it a shot because I like the idea of being able to select specific brand shirts etc. Additionally the logo can be placed on the back, front or both sides or any cloth material.

Once we have some suggestions...it needed could have a poll to select a final design?

Thanks
Ed

Thanks Tom...I see those 4 station units around here...prefer a one station unit for portability and space to start with.

Good Idea on your design to point people here if someone saw some of you guys with your cars wearing one of those. I was feeling bad a few days ago looking at what is left of my "Tam's Tees" The idea of having our cars printed with the Rusty Bowtie logo was cool. Silk screen has come a long way since I first learned some of it in the early '60s. We had to do it all by hand. Multicolor prints were really involved. It is a great process and be very durable.

If she is still doing shirts I'll buy several of the ones with my pickup! I tried to contact her through the link here but got nothing.

Tamara's business has evolved into a totally electronic based system and I'm not sure she can still do something like printed graphics. If you want to contact her and ask if she can help here's a link to here new website that has her contact information and email address at the bottom of the web page under "Contact". Maybe if she can advise you as to what the best way to get what you need done if she no longer is equipped to handle it herself.

Nice ideas....can you use capital letters for both Rusty and Bowtie...might help to remember the name?

Per request I capitalized the B in bowtie.  Please let me know if you want anything else changed.  Also, these two are my original artwork.  So we don't have to worry about copyright issues if that is a concern.  I designed these a few years ago to make hitch covers for my truck.
