car show's starting up
« on: March 18, 2015, 08:28:48 AM »
We just had a local car show last friday night. It was just a few of the die hards that showed up, about a dozen. I hung out for awhile until I couldn't stand the cold wind and headed home.

What about you guys are you seeing signs of spring, summer, in the car world?

I wish I was seeing signs of spring...We still have 2 feet of snow on the ground around my neck of the woods.
Too soon we get old too late we get smart. One out of two ain’t bad 8)

When I had the doors open down at the shop Fri &Sat( while I was cleaning up around there) I seen several go by on trailers and one driving west. They are definitely moving about anyway, always a good sign spring is close!

We still have about 2 feet of snow in the yard.  It's 23° right now and the winds are howling.  Roads still have a lot of salt on them.  It'll be a few weeks but I did see a guy driving a new Saleen Camaro on my way home last night.  Had to roll my windows down to listen.  Sounded sweet ;D
Spending time with my grandkids gets in the way of finishing my car but I don't regret it!

No signs here, yet, but it did hit 60 yesterday, although today I think it's about 35. Any day, any day............. :)
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn

I think Myrtle Beach had a bib shindig last week, about 90miles on up the coast.  Local shows have started.

It's supposed to be near 70 today, I hope a few more cars will show up tonight. I will try to get a couple of pictures.

It will probably another month or so before any car shows start here. Still lots of snow on the ground and salt on roads. :'( But on the plus side I believe I will be heading to spring Carlisle so I will get to see something at least. I know dad will be heading there. Once the shows do start though I believe dad will probably have 2 new cars to show off. The 32 phaeton that I posted pics of and he is thinking of heading to Georgia to buy another completed car. Hopefully this year he gets to sit back and enjoy the summer and let me deal with the stress of selling.
