no, it was purple with red trim.  You either loved it or hated it.  I am looking for suggestions. 

Moose has graciously offered to see what it looks burgundy.

I can't make up my mine, I thought black cherry with black fenders and running boards, root beer, etc. and can't decide.

Ok munch...Here's the burgundy. Kind of tough to get good detail and correct color with a low resolution image but it should give you some idea of how it would look.

Another color combination I like is sun burst orange and black to me its a real eye catcher

Well, with that color exterior, any interior color would look good. Black, tan, grey, even white. I think my preference with maroon/burgundy would be grey or tan.
Tighten it up til it strips, then back it off a quarter turn
