Years ago a friend traded an airplane for a '57 Corvette to another friend. I didn't know they knew each other at the time. The Corvette had been raced and evidently wrecked a few times. It was probably the worst complete Vette I have ever seen. All was there and sort of worked but the body was nowhere close to square, plumb, straight, or fitted. Another friend who is the best fiberglass body man I've ever watched made it so right it is now black and looks great. I wish I had pictures. Jeb & John are both gone now & the car is in Arizona somewhere. Someone thinks that have an amazingly straight very stock '57 Corvette.  ::)

Dad's '57 fuelie ran real good. But if it sat more that a day, you had to prime it to start. Kept a small metal oil pump can with gas behind the seat to prime it.

Several fuel injection guys tried to remedy that, all failed.

Can't find a good pic, just newspaper clipping🥴
