Attempted to install the calipers today on a 2001 Chevy Blazer rear axle in my son's 37 Chevy sedan. The calipers won't clear the frame. The mounting brackets are in the front but even if I switch to the rear mount setup...still won't be enough clearance.
Wouldn't mind just converting the axle from disc to drum...but there is something about drum brake axles which are 1/4" longer than disc brake axles...so a direct swap might not work. (anyone know this answer?)
The 2001 Blazer axle is 59" wms to wms ...perfect. What axles are you using in your 37-39? Still want the GM 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern.
Thanks

Looks like the Blazer went to rear disc in 1998..I need to locate a 1997 or older parts..
