After a 3 day layoff
i got back to the '58 door. Tom came back over and tapped out a few dents before i get to that. I got the lower 2/3'ds inner door done, and primed. Now to get Tom to come back and flip it over to do the exterior patch and dents
That thing feels like the weight of a '70 Monte Carlo door!

Are you sure you didn't just take a picture of a new door?

Lol, if he had a better door we would use it!
Tom far from perfect, but it'll do just fine. Got the door flipped this morn and pattern made, sprayed JD blitz black inside as best i could.
They said we were to get snow last night starting at 9pm. Got up at 4am with a light dusting. Got back up at 7, snowing like crazy and still is. I like to never got back door open to check on cat. Had to dig the black female out of her kitty house. Snow was just about 12" out back.
Neighbor came over with his tractor and scooped out my drive. Man that stuff is wet heavy. Good thing I have nowhere to go, days like today I sure miss my Ramcharger! Weatherman said back up to 71 next sunday
Got the patch made and tacked in place, call it a day!

Sammons, I got the water pipe all done with no leaks Friday evening and got it safely covered on Saturday. Hot showers, flushing toilets, clean dishes and clothes. There are many things we take for granted. I'm a thankful old guy! Thankful to have the conveniences and thankful that I can still make things work all by my lonesome.
Now I have to do a service on the backup generator and back to the roadster.

Thanks Ed. How is your front splash apron coming along?
Had to recruit Tom this morning (again) I was trying to bend/close up the bottom door skin crimp late yesterday. I got it to fold over where i wanted it but couldn't use dolly and hammer to tighten. We finished that and i had him drill the weld holes for me so i could spot weld to finish.
I had to make a new door bottom weather strip retainer, his was a bit rusty. I finished the butt weld on the outside patch panel and got it ground. Now couple days off to recoupe!

Good work Steve....working on a few items. Front splash is done just need to wet sand it...working on console but have to sand it all down to bare metal as the top coat lifted...guess I'll sand it down and primer then spray a coat of sealer on it

Apron looks good Ed. Yep, that happens sometimes.
Usually when you have different brands of materials or unknown base. Sealer is your friend!
Keep at it man, spring isn't far off!
