At the suggestion of using Dodge springs by vette59jdwl I bought a new set of 48" Dodge springs from SD Truck Springs for about $130 delivered for two.

I only used the main spring and installed the Blazer middle and bottom spring so they wouldn't be too stiff.  Drilled out the Blazer springs so I could install nylon sliders on each end.  The Dodge springs are 2.5" wide so I removed the front springs perches from the 37 and relocated the inner bolt tab.

Next I widened the stock rear shackles by welding a piece of a 39 Chevy shackle I had (note holes are tapered). The setup let's me use the oem top swivel and offsets from the stock 1.75 spring to the new 2.5 spring.

Need to finish up with upper grease fitting and wider lower bolt.

Picture of the springs mounted....still need to install lowering blocks. Nice spring action and cost about $150 to complete the entire spring swap.  Won't need to worry about sagging springs.

P.S

Wayne Thanks for the Dodge spring tip.
