I polished my new Stainless steel alt.bracket. That I had cut out on a water jet machine.Thanks to Tom for his blue print. And I put it all together.
It fit like a glove. A tight glove. But works like a champ. Thanks Tom. It was such a good day. I backed the hot rod and started to clean.

Glad it fit for you. Moose is right we got to see pics of it when you have it all polished.
Haven't worked on anything yet. Easter dinner is at noon so when everyone leaves I may sneak out into the garage. I'm working on rumble seat pivot brackets.

It's gonna be pretty quiet today for the most part. Me and the wife gets to go over to one of my daughters home with the rest of my kids and grandkids and trash there place for a change. Ought to be good times and good food.

Got home sunday 6:30. With a fat belly full of food. Went out to garage and took my winter project apart. To do sum painting. I have been building a six post delivery express wagon body. I got most of the bottom part done. Four coats on the floor. Steel wool between coats.
Two coats of paint steel wool between coats. And I took photos this time so Moose can't rag on me. And Ill take sum photos. Of the alt.bracket when I can take my car off the lift. Then that Moose will be sorry he picked on an OLD MAN.

Here you go Moose the photos you wanted. My friend came over with this piece he machined. I rounded the corners and took out all the saw marks. Rounded the edges and polished the edges. Then give it a clear coat. That was my good deed for the day. My planishing hammer stand came from H.F. .So I put it together. I will use this for a stand for my powered bead roller. Also done more painting on my winter project.

That's a nice clean looking bracket. Looks like you did a great job on the engine turned piece too. My compliments on the craftsmanship and THE PICTURES!

I don't know how that last photo got on. But it should have been this one. Ghost 28- You can have it for 13.5K . Its all good steel. The only rust is in the rain gutter in the trunk. And on the front fender about 2"in the tire opening. Comes with 2 D.O.H.C. engines. One has a intake with a carburetor and a distributor that runs off the top cam. All new running gear. You will need a truck with an 8' and a trailer. For all the parts that go with it. Mostly new parts.

I work on same thing every day. Monday I primed and painted all the steel. For my winter project. Yes moose I got a photo.
And worked on my bead roller. I have to get a shaft turned down. Then I will paint it and put it together. And take a photo for my buddy. All in fun moose.

Looks like you had a busy day. I think you photographic skills have improved to the point to where they almost parallel your mechanical skills. In recognition of this accomplishment and as a reward for your exemplary effort I feel that it's only fitting to give you the following recognition.

I played around with my new shrinker and stretcher. The inner panel for my rumble seat lid has a little rust so I need to make some pieces to replace the swiss cheese. I made a cardboard template with the radius of the rear quarter so I could match it.

I finished the roof. And though I may as well build the whole car. So dragged out a frame. And strapped it down for primer.

I worked on my gas tank cover. replacing some rust with new metal.
Does anybody have any experience with the fiberglass covers. If so how did they fit?

Are we talking about the tail pan panel? If so, the one on my 33 master fit real good...it is a bit "floppy" in the unsupported middle area... plan on gluing a foam brace in the middle on the inside.

I'm talking about the cover over the gas tank on a 1932 coach. It is attached by 10 bolts including the rear bumper bracket bolts. Speedway has them listed in their catalog and I was wonder about the quality and fit.
