GM has a program for what they call "UP FITTERS" which is the handle that they have assigned to technicians in the field who are involved in the installation and maintenance of various add-on items such as sound systems or in the case of commercial vehicles light packages or communications systems. They publish information that might help those technicians in solving install and repair problems. Although a lot of the information is pretty basic stuff and geared toward current stock vehicles I think you will agree its a worthwhile read. Remember there is no such thing as to much information especially when your trying to pin down which electrical gremlin "Let The Smoke Out Of That Wire" Take a look at the attached PDF and see what you think.
